Breaking down the Wheels vs Doors debate

Here are the strongest arguments for both sides, presented without bias:

Wheels
  • Wheely chairs: 6-12 wheels per chair. Think of all the offices in the world. Hundreds of chairs x 10 wheels. Plus schools and homes and libraries.
  • Conveyor belts: hundreds of thousands of wheels PER conveyor belt
  • Trolleys: every single shopping centre has hundreds of trolleys, each with 4 wheels. Additionally, trolleys used in factories and for loading things. in each factory there are hundreds, with 4 wheels each
  • Transport: There are so many wheels on trains, more than there are doors, and millions of trains in the world. Almost everyone has a bike, with 2 wheels and 0 doors. Millions of scooters, skateboards, vespas & motorbikes, ....
  • Toy cars: 4 wheels, no doors. There are around 7.5 billion toy cars in the world, x 4 wheels each
  • Rollerblades & wheely shoes: 3 wheels per rollerblade, 4 per rollerskate, lots pf people own rollerblades
Doors
  • Lockers: At gyms, pools, schools. Most schools have at least 1000 lockers. Lots of schools.
  • Cupboards: In kitchens, offices, bedrooms, etc
  • Toilet cubicle doors: lots and LOTS of people poop a lot. There are public toilets, school toilets, stadium toilets,Β
  • Cages: think of animal shelters and zoos and animal testing, which is sad to think about but there are lots of cages
  • Coffins: 2 doors per modern coffin, over 100 billion dead
  • Hotels: hundreds of rooms, each with doors for the bedrooms and bathrooms and around 10 doors in the kitchen on average
  • Advent calendars: 25 PER calendar, millions of calendars each year, they get thrown out and millions more get made every single yearΒ
Things that don't count
  • Heart valves do not count as doors as they don't have hinges and honestly that's such a reach
  • Cell gates do NOT count as doors just because garden gates do, again no hinges
  • Tires do not count as wheels. They're the shells of wheels they don't count
  • Cogs don't count as wheels. Wheels are round and can roll.

All things considered, I am team wheels. It's 3am what am I doing with my life.

here are some more arguments I present for the wheels

- not everywhere in the world has access to cars, hotels, etc. therefore, there is gonna be less doors and wheels overall. but how do these people get around? usually with bikes and they use wheelbarrows, carts, etc to move stuff. Theres probably more wheels in these countries alone

- you can easily break a door, and therefore ridding of one door. a door is a barrier between one space and another. if you take a door off its hinges, its just a piece of wood. if you take a wheel off a bike, its still a wheel. that being said, you can also create wheels right now. cut out 4 circular pieces of paper and attach it to toothpicks to move. boom. four wheels

- there's a lot of cheese wheels in this world

- those tiny lil wheel shaped spaghettis

- doors only exist if there's hinges or rooms. wheels will always be wheels whether they're on a car or not
