Hello, hope you are having a good day!One of the places that I miss since the pandemic started is Bibliotheca Alexandrina, considered as the biggest Library in the country, counted as the sixth-largest Francophone library in the world.The library has shelf space for eight million books, and in 2013 there are some records say that there are almost 2 million book in the library.I used to spend my whole week there, in addition to the library there are 4 museums and a Planetarium Science Center, full with weekly events, concerts and lots of fun!.I think I spent the freshman year and half of the second year of my collage days in there.Since the pandemic started and it's hard to find a free space since they take only 50% of the daily visiting rates, also you can't have these long walks between the books, you can only search for theme on the online archive, request it and wait till it's handed to you by the librarian.I hope the pandemic ends soon, everyone gets the vaccine, so people could visit the places they like again as they used to.Here is some pictures I took over the last two years.Beginning with statue of Alexander the great, in the entrance.https://ibb.co/rGdQfV1The place from the outside ( the library is the half circle behind the white statue.)https://ibb.co/R2d8txXhttps://ibb.co/k9DN1VLhttps://ibb.co/S7yGVYHhttps://ibb.co/br5XFc5https://ibb.co/CtRcT4XWelcome! The library of Alexandria has great significance for me. In its original construction it held knowledge of many philosophers. They even held within the library meetings to exchange ideas. Unfortunately, those that fear knowledge had it burnt down.
Today we have a more modern building that continues its original mission to house the knowledge of the sages.
