i know i'm not even near to finishing school but i still have the fear of finishing it. i mean once schools finished i go off to college right? but then ill need to find a job, get an apartment, i need to provide for myself, pay taxes and study at the same time. and after college, what happens? what if i dont get a high paying job that would be enough for my living.
but at the same time, i cant wait to be on my own. i cant wait to be independent and free but the more i think about it, it feels as if ill never be free. ill study and study until i graduate college and even after that all thats left for me is to work. and theres no way out. i either work or die. how do people deal with the fear of not having a plan or having a plan but knowing theres a chance it might not work out?

It's not scary, it just sounds really tough...
All life is Hard-Work and Passion. There's no time to focus on negativity, it's just the glory ahead of you and that you do all you need to do.
I recommend to move... even if there's nothing to do if you overthink.
Work Out. How did you ever wishfully saw your self as an adult pursuing art? Do that as a hobby.
if your going to school, it's way better to know that you got a dream job and there's opportunities or job positions. check out on google "california career zone" there's a whole lot of job categories and branches...
It took 3 majors to finally get the fourth one right, but you lose wind when you quit jobs.

hello!! i'm currently a freshman in college so here is my advice. get as many scholarships as you can and put the rest on loans, get a part-time job you can handle with your classes (either now or in college!!) and save up money!! ultimately money is just money and experiences and happiness is more important. i'm with you on not knowing what i want career-wise, but give yourself time and take electives in things you enjoyed as a kid (which for me was writing, animals, and fashion, so i have tried all of those as majors lol) and just know that nothing is permanent!! you got this and let me know if you need anything xoxo kitty

Follow a passion you always have. Don't give a fuck about what you say, easiest way to live content. Don't stress it pal, remember that anything is possible when you try hard and never give up :). Let it be music, sports, writing or whichever :))
That way you can live the happiest
