I'm looking for some album/band recommendations so I can expand my music taste
I'm pretty much open to anything but here are some of my preferred genres
- metal, pb metal, alt metal, heavy metal
- rock, punk rock, alt rock, indie rock
- pop punk
- shoegaze, dreampop
- alt/indie (heavily emphasized)

If you don't mind some techno thrown in, EleventySeven is a pretty good pop punk band from the 00s (they reformed as an indie techno band several years ago as well). I don't know how you feel about metalcore, but Oh, Sleeper's first album "When I Am God" is a pretty intense listen all the way through.
