best girl?

the whole asuka versus rei thing is dumb. i feel like more people like asuka than rei, which is fine, but then they go and call rei worst girl, which makes me sad. like, rei is a great character who deserves better than the shitty fate she had. in terms of shipping, i like asuka x shinji more than rei x shinji, but i don't find the latter offensive... except for the fact that rei is a clone of shinji's mom probably. that's weird. their relationships rubs me more as platonic anyway. the point of this post was to say that i don't have a strong preference for either asuka or rei because they're both great characters and i don't have strong feelings about shipping within eva anyway in case that's something we're factoring in.
