blog etiquette?

ive been thinkin' bout this recently like??? i only recently joined this website but im not sure what the etiquette is? like can i just ask to be someone's friend out of da blue or do i need 2 like,,,, i dunno, send them a msg, get chattin, all that junk???? i dunno, maybe im overthinkin' this, but this website seems rlly cool n i wanna meet folks, but i just dont know where ta start!!!!1!!!!!11!!!
