People are ok with swimming in the ocean despite probably MILLIONS of dead bodies floating around, but if a dead body is in a pool they won't swim in it. Everyone seems to abide by an unspoken, instinctual "corpse to water" ratio preference.

Well... To be fair, the ocean is the world's toilet. Whales on their own release tons of pee everyday and nobody seems to be grossed out until you tell them that their perfume has ambergris.
That is disturbingly accurate.. lmao
