i. misery is inherent. sit with her, feel her presence heating your skin, acknowledge her with respectÂ
forget childhood campaigns (if you ignore it, it'll leave you alone) and maintain dialogue with the dark
dissect what makes you shiver, soon enough gales become breezes and you can start to board windows
despair is no part of you as much as it's a part of these tarsealed streets, these empty squares
ii. everyone is lonely here. by no means does that equate to us being alone in the world
endless love lies beyond the town walls if you have the guts to step outside of them (and that you do)
god won't answer you so you'll escape to a godless city, sacrilegious and radiating unfiltered adoration
for now it's a short escape, but keep an eye on the light pollution. repeat the mantra. you are never truly alone
iii. an addiction or two (or three, or ten) gives you something to look forward to that is never worth the wait
despite that, avoidances rarely break your heart. distraction is your most reliable associate
all pretention aside, living here is an infinite string of attempts at forgetting that you still live here
nurture your bad habits, something tells me that soon enough they won't be seeing as much of you
iv. there is nothing more valuable than a constant state of holding out for something better
you of all people were born for more than cigarettes out back of whatever venues still exist
maintain contact with that fact, drown your self doubt in ten dollar vodka (rock n roll on a budget)
plaster your walls with reminders that you're destined for something bigger than any of this

'avoidances rarely break your heart' whoa. That zeros in....quick, sharp, unavoidable. I like this write. Like the form and the rhythm. Like the images...the exposure. Just like it....
