During the year 1968 the band was gifted by the gods with a special sound. The formula it's hard to track back, but some ingredients are listable as follows:
- mellotron
- layered binson echo-effected guitars
- soft voices dubbed by whispering voices
- cosmic themes
- fading dreams
- nostalgia for childhood
- lunacy
All is crystal coloured and at the same time vespertine.
Let alone the fact that the record features both Barrett and Gilmour (though almost separately).
A saucerful of secrets it's my favorite Pink Floyd record. Ever. Is imbued by a Dark-Coloured Fluid Psichedelia I'd like to channel into our music.
