New Mexico recently legalized cannabis for adult use, I am excited because we have been working on this for many years in this state!
Come June 29th every adult 21 and older will be allowed to have 2 ounces on their person outside their residence, as much as you want inside, 6 immature plants per adult, 6 mature plants per adult, but no more than 12 mature per household. What that means is, if you live with 3 people you all can have 6 immature plants each, but only 12 mature for the entire household. if you live alone, you are allowed only 12 total, 6 mature, 6 immature. You are also allowed to keep your entire harvest, regardless of weight. You are also allowed to gift 2 ounces to any adult, for free of course, can't sell without a license.
Speaking of Licenses, there is actually a bunch of different licenses, and theyre pretty cheap. RLD or the Cannabis Control Division, which is a branch of RLD, will start to accept license applications starting in July of this year. Sales will not start no later than April 1, 2022, so theres a chance it can start earlier.
