idk i thought of this in the shower.

as women-hood trickled down my leg in the shower,

i ponder what it means to be a girl

"having children" i quietly whisper,

"being objectified" i continue,

"getting harassed, being scared to walk home alone in the dark-"

as i went on i soon was stumped.

i had no clue what i gained from being a girl, apart from gruesome, horrible reasons,

i soon realised that i didn't want to be one.

i wasn't a girl.
