I'm Procrastinating Literally 5 Assignments and 4 Hours Worth of Homework So Here's an MLP Rant

Okay, I'm mostly gonna be ranting about the music because shit SLAPS! Like h o n e s t l y if you tell yourself you've never AT LEAST nodded along to an MLP song you're lying to yourself. Because I know for a fact that as soon as I heard the intro them I was gonna be HOOKED! Like that is already such a nice bop and then throughout the next 9 SEASONS!?!?!? Shit just kept getting better and better. Like literally crying my eyes out to 'What My Cutie Mark Is Telling Me' while simultaneously having a better than everyone else complex to 'This Day'. Like the show has never failed me in terms of musical ingenuity, originality and just plain fucking awesomeness! Now I'm not gonna lie- the show definitely had some plot holes and not so great episodes, like the Native American one where the land ponies fucking stole the buffalos land and instead of realising it was wrong and giving it back the buffalos had to compromise and SHARE!?!?!? Like wtaf?- And also the fact that they are portrayed as dumb and uncivalised, with their poor grammar and brute like tone of voice. It's giving Peter Pan Tigerlily/chief kind of vibes 🤨. But anyways, back to the music! The movies also fucking rock! Like the Equestria Girls ones??? Still so mad the Dazzlings didn't win in 'Rainbow Rocks'. Like I get the magic of friendship always triumphs over evil and all that jazz but COME OOONNNN- L I K E ! ? Literally N O O N E would have voted them to win- like I remember 8 year old me just singing my little heart out to 'Welcome to the Show' and then screaming at my TV when they lost XD. ALSO- 'MLP: The Movie'!!! I stg I have never felt so much joy in my life than when I had watched that movie for the first time 😭. Like TEMPESTS SONG!?!?!? I still have it in my nostalgia playlist and listen to it constantly! I really thought I would hate it because I'm not good with change and the new animation was the biggest, most life-threatening problem to 11 year old me haha. But it was honestly so good, and after watching it a few times I got used to it! But speaking of hate 🙄 omg 'MLP: The New Generation'- F U C K T H A T - Honestly I hate it so much, I really tried to go into it with an open mind because maybe I would end up liking it like I did with the other movie but NOPE- I hated EVERYTHING- FROM THE STUPID NEW CHARACTERS TO THE STUPID NEW STORY I HATED EVERY. SINGLE. THING! I had never screamed that much at an MLP movie in my life! Honestly the songs weren't too bad, I don't mind them, but everything else was trash. First off! (Season 9 Spoilers) Twilight becomes a fucking ALICORN!!! And she gets a new apprentice who will most likely also become an alicorn princess and so on and so forth to the new generations!!! The new stupid storyline about how everyone pony got divided like some stupid magical racism due to history being forgotten is bullshit- Twilight would NEVER let that happen! But that's not even my biggest issue with the movie. The damn NAMES?- Like BRO- No one in this magical pony universe would name their damn child with a magical ass horn IZZY!!! Like yeah she has a magical last name yadeyadeya- I mean maybe some other people like the practicality of the names but I honestly despise it. I loved knowing the fact that most people would get their names and then their cutie marks would somehow match it XD It was just so funny to me and seeing a talking pony now be called a normal name just feels wrong. I won't lie there were some good aspects. I like the fact that Hitch is kind of Fluttershy but he's not quiet like she is. I think it's a really funny and refreshing contrast! But it's still not good enough for me to actually fully enjoy it. Another issue I think about almost constantly is the fact that Sunny HURT IZZY'S FEELINGS!!! ,Like dude- In Gen 4 that would have never been left unaddressed!!! Izzy just got hurt and it was covered up by some song!!! In Gen 4, if Twilight had hurt Pinkie's feelings, after a little angst, it would have been addressed! They didn't have to necessarily make up straight away but I hate how they didn't put that aspect into the movie. It was one of my favourite traits of Gen 4. The open communication. And the fact that it was gone was seriously sad. But my biggest beef with the movie is (MLP: New Gen Spoilers) that Sunny just BECOMES AN ALICORN!?!?!? LIKE TWILIGHT HAD TO FUCKING WORK. HARD. JUST TO BE AN AMAZING STUDENT AND FRIEND AND SHE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW SHE COULD BECOME AN ALICORN. BUT SHE DID. AND ITS CAUSE SHE DESERVED IT. I just don't think that Sunny deserved all of that within that hour and a half :|. I might end up liking it if other movies come out or a series is adapted. But right now I will constantly fume any time my brother tries to make me watch it.
