Okay just to start this, if you've read any of my other posts you already know this, but this is probably gonna get confusing quick!
Lets begin with just I don't know the first thought my brain comes to with the topic, Supernatural. To be entirely fair I hate it. Don't get me wrong I love it too! Oh the intricacies of the mind. I can only really think of a handful of solid good things supernatural did. The first like I don't know 5? seasons. I can solidly say season 1 is a masterpiece. I was hooked instantly I mean the color grading/filters or whatever (chefs kiss), and then Dean fucking says "Woah! Easy there tiger". Awooga am I right? Ahem sorry about that... moving on! Castiel's character in general, lovely man. To continue on that, I normally don't do that whole DNI bullshit but I have to for this specific reason. Kindly do not interact with me if you dislike Castiel (ツ). Ummm what else? At this moment I cannot think of anything else but I'm sure I will while writing this!! tbh I just got distracted thinking about Cas.
Now moving on to the next subject, what Supernatural did wrong!! Fun topic right? Lets begin. So to state the obvious queerbating.... do I really have to explain this one? Killing the gays, I'm honestly not sure how many times this actually happened canonically, maybe 3? Idk I can think of 2 off the top of my head but there were probably more. I mean to start, Charlie. Like why the fuck would they kill Charlie she was the best! Then they fucking bring in au Charlie, which is just a slap in the face at this point. Also lowkey crazy to me that like au's exist canonically, that means like anything happens in the supernatural multiverse! Oh and then the biggest slap in the face known to mankind, ok maybe not mankind !! anyways Cas's death in s15, e18. Devastating, though admittedly Cas's death affected me much more in the s12 finale. That one hurt. Back to what I was saying, you're gonna sit here and tell me Dean Winchester wouldn't say it back? Mr. "Mom this is Castiel", Mr. " I'd rather have you, cursed or not", Mr. motherfucking hearteyes. Oh oh lets not forget, Mr. "I need you". God this fucking show.
The only reason this is really separated into segments is so its still semi readable, lol. But other things the show did wrong ,was not brave enough to do, etc (the catch is that it's probably going to get more and more unhinged). Character development? We don't know her. Admittedly it happens but it never lasts. For an example I'll do a vague recreation.
Scene- Random pier in umm washington (idk). The boys are leaning against the impala cracking open a beer. Dean opens his big fat mouth,
"Sammy, I lied." sad face, "Lucifer escaped the magical box and is possessing Paris Hilton because of me."
"Dean I can't believe you'd do this to me... again!" sam turns away from dean, "I need some time Dean. Alone" Sam walks away
pan back to Dean *cue a single man tear*
end scene.
Idk I thought that was pretty good, the point was this is a constant plotline. One of them lies, something bad happens, the other finds out about the lie, t e n s i o n, oh no a big bad we need to work together as a family! Season finale, rewind and restart the same plotline for way too many years. I just... sigh
See I start this garbage show, you know I don't wanna name an actual show so lets just make one up. Lets call it Supernatural. So I'll watch "Supernatural". I go over to the writers and say "Can I get some character development and non repetitive storylines now please?" And they go, "No, here's some canon Wincest references." *spit*. And I go, "Okay." And then I wait for the next season, and I go "Any updates?". And they go "Yeah! Someone lied, everything sucks, and Lucifer is back again. Because we hate you. Now take this new character that everyone is suspicious of, go fetch!" And I go, "Okay". And I go over to the producers and I say, "Can I get a happy ending please". And Andrew Dabb himself says, "NOO!" And I go, "Okay". Then they say, "You have daddy issues, right?" And I say "Nooooo." And they go "SAY IT!". "I have daddy issues." And I go back to the writers and ask, "Can I get back the last idk 5-6 years of my life?" And they go, "No! In fact you're going to continuously mourn the show this could've been forever." And I go, "Why are you doing this to me". And they go "Because this is the CW! And life is a fucking nightmare!"
I feel like that last tangent accurately describes the state of my mind right now, I do not know why I decided to recreate a John Mulaney bit. For real though after season 10? Idk my brain sucks rn, after the Demon Dean Storyline the show is beyond convoluted. I just hate the whole Amara/Darkness plotline. It's awful, for one they reference this "weird connection" between Amara and Dean while Amara is still a child. I also dislike the Amara plotline because my mom named my dog that. Not a bad name but I preferred Chanel, sounded fancy. I just it's rough ok, and trust me I enjoy Lucifer's character but it get's fucking repetitive.
I no longer have enough braincells to discuss in depth, so the rest will just be random shit the show should've done or should've done better. There should have been an episode where baby was turned into a human. I mean for fucks sake Sam was the car at one point, why not? Genderbend episode, we fucking deserved that! It would've been so fucking funny. Dean should've gotten to fucking deck his father, Sam too for that matter. Sam's powers when it came too demon blood would've been an interesting thing to bring back up. Oh yea, more demon Dean. I want an actual interaction between demon Dean and Cas. Hmm what else? Deans fucking death, and the fact we didn't get a DeanCas reunion in Heavan. Jack became God, he could've done it. Anyways there are for sure plenty of other things wrong with this show but I'm done thinking about it.
Oh yea ,and as stated earlier (i think) I did think of a few other good things. Well I was a second ago...ummmm. I already said Castiel, right? Oh yea, the musical episode that was good. Chucks character, I deeply enjoy it. For one, the fucking foreshadowing is crazyyy and Idk the fact they made god the villian is cool, lol. Anyways if you actually read that, why?????

Honestly, I didn't like the final episode of the show, it felt rushed and it really wasn't something I was expecting. But overall I got hooked for the first 5 seasons because when Cas came in I knew I didn't have to choose between Sam or Dean because awooga he just came falling from heaven he knew that there was a weird person like me who was gonna find him attractive. And the queerbaiting on the show had to make me sit down and not watch it for a bit because what was the whole point? Also, Charlie was one of the best characters on there but my favorite character would have to be Gabriel
oh for sure, the last few episodes were the worst, they did so many characters dirty. also cas if so sure an awooga moment, dean just happened to be my first comfort character i think like ever? anywaysss gabriel is a great choice tbh, i was so fucking pleased when they brought him back in later seasons.

after season i think 13, i got sick of the queerbaiting and did not watch the show again till the finale. sometimes i wish i never finished it :/

Yeah I got into the show my freshman year and I stopped watching it after season 12 it got so boring and I just wasn’t pleased with it anymore

If I can remember yes that was the episode.. but yeah when the finale started I got really upset because that’s what got me through quarantine and some difficulties in my person life lol
