Chapter 1 of my new story!

Content Warning: Transphobia, gross teenage boys, strong language

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

February 20th, 20XX

I can't take it anymore. I can't. Fucking. Take this anymore! I'm not allowed to transfer, and either way, I could never leave the others. But these high school fucks are really starting to piss me off. Two more years of this bullshit? Ughhh, I want to slam my face in a door. Who needs these assholes around anyways? What are they doing to benefit society? They're ruining it, if anything. Just a waste of good oxygen. Fuck those assholes.

The school bell rings, as usual.

Students file out of their classrooms, as usual.

There's a bit of a struggle to make it through the crowded hallways, as usual.

Everything is as it should be.

A boy sat down, setting his tray down at his usual lunch table, his snow white hair falling down over his eyes.

"Oi, Stalker! Ya took longer than usual, somethin' happen?" a voice asked, the words coming from a scowling redhead that sat across the table.

"Two of the Narrow Minded were blocking my way."

The redhead's expression contorted with disgust.

"Those fuckin' assholes? Who was it? Did they bother you? I swear I'll beat their asses to a pulp!" she said, firmly bringing her fist down onto the table, only to hear a small chuckle from the white haired boy.

"Calm down, Rager. It was just uh.. whats-her-face, and.. whats-his-name, y'know, the ones who never stop sucking each other's faces." 'Stalker' tried to explain.

"For someone who knows everything about everyone, you suck with names." 'Rager' teased,

"Nah, it's just the Narrow Minded, I try to block them out as much as possible." Stalker replied with a small laugh.

"Where's Chaser?" he asked, looking around, only to return his gaze to his companion with an unsatisfied frown.

"Some kinda sports practise, honestly it's fuckin' brain-fryin' to try and remember which sport he's doin' on which day. Today is Monday, so it might be baseball… or is it soccer? Oh, I don't know!" Rager exclaimed, beginning to grow frustrated.

"No matter how long we've known each other, Chaser is the one person I can't seem to keep track of." Stalker said.

The two's eyes widened the slightest bit as an uninvited student sat themselves down next to Stalker.

"Hey, ladies." he said, putting in little effort to hide his smug smirk. Rager was ready to tell him off, before he spoke again, his finger tracing across Stalker's arm.

"Y'know, Molly, if you came to school in a pretty skirt, and some nice makeup, maybe the boys would like you. You never know, maybe I would."

That was it. Rager's hands slammed down onto the table,

"I'll fuckin' kill you, Kelleher!" she yelled, quickly getting up from her seat, scrambling to chase after the boy who was now running through the crowd of students with a satisfied grin on his face, his laughter being drowned out by the sounds of the other students.

Stalker lowered his head, feeling the stares of his peers burning into his skull. He could only take so much, before he dumped the contents of his tray into the nearest trash can, and made his way through the large double doors at the end of the lunch hall, to leave the building. He wandered over to the soccer field, sitting quietly nearby to watch the practice that was going on. He saw his friend, ‘Chaser’. So Rager was right the second time, today was soccer practice. The breeze was light, which was surprising, considering it was February, and only a week or two before, the ground had been covered in snow.

Once the practices were over, Chaser finally saw the small blur of white fluff sitting at the edge of the field.

"Stalker!" he called, catching the attention of his teammates, who now seemed quite shocked and alert at the call. Chaser realised his mistake, and quickly shook his head to his teammates, "No, no! Just my friend! Nothing to worry about!" He said, running over to Stalker.

"How come you're here by yourself? It's cold, let's get you back inside." Chaser said, linking arms with Stalker and walking him back inside,

"Mark came to our table.. said some gross shit, same stuff as usual, then Rager went running after him." Stalker explained, causing Chaser to scoff,

"Mark Kelleher, everybody, Narrow Point's most bigoted bachelor." he mocked, wrapping a comforting arm around Stalker's shoulders.

Once the two were back inside, they parted ways for Chaser to begin making his way to the locker rooms to get cleaned up and changed back into his regular clothes. The bell rang, signalling the end of lunch. Good timing. The halls were now slowly beginning to clear out, as everyone returned to their classrooms.

Stalker walked through the door to his classroom, quietly manoeuvring through the messily positioned desks to reach his own, a desk nearest to the wall, the second row from the front. In front of him was a girl he somewhat recognised, just a regular classmate, and to their left, was another of the Narrow Minded, though… she didn't seem as bad as the others. At least Stalker thought so.

The girl leaned over to him, her voice lowered to avoid catching their teacher's attention.

"Hi! I just want to apologise about Mark." she began, intriguing Stalker, so he turned to face her, wanting to know what else she had to say.

"What he said to you was super gross and uncalled for, I swear he's like a wild dog in heat." she said. "My name is Cassy. You're… oh, what was it?" she muttered to herself, tapping her pencil against her lower lip for a moment, before Stalker answered for her,

"You can call me Ghost." They said.

"Ghost! That's it! Well, thank you, Ghost, and again, I'm sorry about Mark." she repeated, before returning her eyes to the whiteboard at the front of the classroom.

Stalker was… baffled, honestly. One of the Narrow Minded was actually nice to him! He thought she was decent, but never in his wildest dreams imagined that she'd be as kind to him as she was.

The remaining two classes of the day went by pretty smoothly. Each member of the trio were in different classes, unfortunately, so none of them could see each other until the end of the day.

Once the last bell finally rang, the students poured out of their classrooms, all rushing to leave the building and head home. Stalker, Chaser, and Rager managed to locate each other fairly quickly, as if the trio possessed some sort of magnetic attraction that pulled them all together.

Rager had a bandage on her cheek, as well as a busted lip, and a bruise beginning to appear around her eye.

"Jeez, Rager! Look at the state of your face!" Chaser said, only for Rager to smirk with pride,

"You should see the state o' Mark's face."

The trio walked through the large doors, feeling the breeze summon goosebumps from their skin as they all shivered.

"So, Dead By Daylight? Same time as usual?" Rager asked, to which the two boys nodded, before parting ways to go home. Rager began jogging, her ponytail bouncing as she ran, meanwhile Stalker hopped onto his bike, pedalling his way home, and Chaser approached a large red car, getting into the passenger seat.

The school day was over, fucking finally.

Rager was the first to get home; she lived fairly close to the school. Once the front door was closed behind her, her voice echoed through the whole house.

"Oi! I'm home!"

A loud thud could be heard before a large dog came skidding across the floor to greet her. Rager's tone changed immediately,

"Gonner! I missed you baby!" she said in a high-pitched tone as she kneeled down to fuss over the large, clumsy German Shepherd whose large paws kept sliding across the wooden floor when he moved.

She made her way up to her room, patting her thigh for Gonner to follow her. After setting her school bag down on her desk chair, she sat comfortably on her bed. She switched on her TV and her console, getting ready to play games with the others, while also waiting for them to get home and do the same.

Chaser was the second to get home. The red car pulled up outside, and he got out, along with a tall, auburn-haired woman. Chaser pulled his phone out of his pocket, holding up the back to the sensor on the door. A small click sounded from the lock, before Chaser was able to pull down the handle and let himself and his sister inside.

The house was practically sparkling with how clean it was, the smooth white counters and marble floors gave the home a very modern appearance. Chaser slipped his shoes off by the door, making his way up to his room. The clack of heels echoed through the hall as a tall woman approached Chaser,

"Hi, honey! How was school?" she asked, stopping in front of a mirror to apply an extra coat of lip gloss,

"It was fine, same as usual, Mom." Chaser responded,

"Good, good. Well I'll be off now, there's money in the kitchen to order something for you and your sister later if you get hungry. Bye! Love you!" she said, giving Chaser a glossy kiss on the cheek before strutting out the door, smoothing down her slip dress as she left.

Chaser wiped the pink lipgloss from his cheek, gagging at the sticky texture. Without another word, he retreated to his room.

He booted up his pc, grabbing his headset from its stand, and started up Dead By Daylight, before opening another tab to begin a group call with Stalker and Rager.

Rager was already online, waiting for the others. Stalker was taking a while, which was normal, the two waited patiently for him.

It took a while of pedalling, and a few small breaks in between to catch his breath, but Ghost managed to make it home.

'You'd think I'd be used to this by now..' he thought to himself as he stopped before opening his front door to take deep breaths before going inside.

"Great! You're home. The stairs need to be vacuumed." A voice sounded, only seconds after the front door had closed. Ghost internally groaned,

"And do me a favour and empty the dishwasher afterwards." the voice added. Ghost frowned, opening his mouth to speak back before just sighing, not even bothering to try,

"Okay, dad."

It took a while, but finally Ghost had finished the chores he was given. As he finished up emptying the dishwasher, a small purr and a gentle, affectionate rub against his leg caught Ghost’s attention.

“Oh, hiya, Felix.” He spoke softly, lifting the black cat up into their arms. He carried the feline up to his room, a smile tugging on Ghost’s lips as Felix’s face was very quickly buried into Ghost’s neck. Once he was in his room, he sat on his bed, setting Felix down beside him. He pulled his phone out of his backpack, joining the group call and opening Dead By Daylight.

Finally the trio were reunited, albeit through screens.
