its really cool to see emos coming back again full force xp
it felt like there was a lull from 2013-2017 of emo kids (not emo music) and there was really no coverage of the emo scene. i was pretty young in the early 2000-2010s so i never got to be a part of the 2nd or 3rd wave emo generation (the golden days rlly) and its just so freaking awesome to see a lot of emo (and other subcultures) kids again living life n posting a lot :]
although i would say the current emo revival is lots of midwest emo and post-hardcore (which is awesome they r my fav genres personally!) and less of the traditional emo. idk im just thankful the emo community is picking back up again (づ￣ ³￣)づ
that being said what r yalls fav alternative bands contributing to the latest emo revival ? mine r animal jam and movements \ (•◡•) /

They're only around 11 months old, but the band If I Die First has probably been my favorite act making moves in the scene rn, it's like a super group of soundcloud rappers doing vocals/instuments + the rhythm guitarist & drummer from From First to Last.
sounds awesome, ill check them out xp
