Hi everyone it's march but still pisces season! A few things have been happening over the past two weeks so let me tell y'all about them!Song of the day : Tommyfebruary6 - ◯Strawberry●Cream◯Soda●Pop◯It was my birthday on the 24th of Feb, I had work in the morning and from work I went to the hair salon with my grandmother (her gift to me) I had never been to a salon and I was incredibly nervous and hyper anxious about it, I have a bit of a thing about people (specifically strangers touching me and 'inspecting' me) the woman doing my hair was very kind and did a really good job though so it was a positive experience . I know my grandmother would like me to go to a salon more often I don't think I'll be going very often from now on just because of the amount of intense anxiety it gives me. I have kind of a hime cut faux-mullet at the moment which I'm loving, I usually prefer shorter hair on me but I'm growing the back part out just because I feel like itI also got an iced tea and walked with nanna around shopping with her and just chatted with her for a bit, it's always nice spending time with her . ALSO my brother ran into the shopping center bare feet slapping against the tiles he had run from our home to the shops barefoot to give me 20 bucks for me to get him something .I had dinner with my Father usually we go out with the whole family but because we're still in the covid times we thought it wouldn't be a good idea . When I got home we all had some cake. My brother was very very sweet and baked a cake for me (which I took the next day to class to share w/ my peers). I also received very kind messages from my family and friends .
Overall not a particularly interesting day but I still believe it was a good birthday.
On the weekend me and my friend went to magazine launch event nearby a gallery that featured mostly indigenous artists the gallery had a lot of cool audio-visual elements. The magazine event was also fun we did these self massage techniques, did some printmaking and they had free food! I also saw my aunts because a kapahaka group was practicing nearby and they were doing some cooking for them.Me and my friend went back to their place and we've been working on a fun lil musical project together (though they're the ones doing most of the work). I'm enjoying learning about music and actually paying close attention to music. I'll post more about it when we feel ready and done with the project .
(+ spachey face reveal kind of)
Yesterday I had a really wonderful picnic with a few of my friends! Because of the weather I had to change it to an indoor picnic . I set up a lil picnic in my bedroom (which was more of a pain than I thought it'd be). We all mostly just chatted, ate some food (my bestie made some bitchin' pie ) and played a few games . We played some rhythm heaven which may not have been a good idea because I crave perfection and when I fail I get so upset lmao . We also played pass the parcel (which is such an underrated party game idk why adults don't do that at parties). I put in a sticker, lollipop , and 1 cowboy hat under each layer and under the final layer was a lil squish mallow .I got so many nice gifts from my friends , I got some sweet vanilla strawberry perfume , stickers, 2 mini cross stitch thingies, A STRAIGHT UP TV, a little bear figurine and the aforementioned pie my bestie baked (+ the glass tin).
I am so overwhelmed with emotion just even thinking about the love I've received from these beloved people I care so much for, friends and family members, I am very often weighed down by feelings of extreme loneliness and sadness that I forget how much I am cared for.
I truly hope if you are reading this that you have (or find that person(s)) that you share a mutual love!
Thank you for reading. Good night!
