TEOTFW has got to be one of the best series I have ever seen, the acting is absolutely astounding, Alex Lawthers performance as James is some of the best acting i've seen in all of media. Alex Lawther has proven before with his performance in Black Mirrors "Shut up and Dance" of being able to play the role of an absolutely insane individual, but his performance as James is remarkable, and not to mention Jessica Bardens performance of Alyssa, it doesn't feel like acting, it feels as if you are peering into another's life.
The story itself is amazing, it follows two 17 year olds, James and Alyssa on a journey to run away and find Alyssa's father, however James was pretty sure he was a psychopath. He just wanted to kill someone, and seeked Alyssa as the perfect victim. But time after time he couldn't seem to do it, and after a while things go the complete opposite direction he planned.
It definitely isn't for everyone, the humor is very dark, and sometimes can be potentially triggering. If you are easily offended, I wouldn't recommend.
If you like Sex Education, Euphoria, On My Block, or Skins UK, I would recommend The End of the F***ing World.
