As a community, it's important that we recognize that we are all human beings. Each and everyone of us have feelings, lives that are different from each other, and different personalities and identity's to live with. While you may not understand one person reaching out for help, you will run into someone that seems to be willing and friendly enough to pass personal checks for possibly scammers and grifters. Do not think that it's as simple as that. Always be aware, always be cautious, and always report the grifters and scammers you do find on this website. Businesses and advertisements are not allowed according to the last check I saw for Spacehey's purposes and use terms here. Let's try to keep this place safe, and advertisement/bot free folks, okay? I've already seen one scammer trying to offer chat spaces for adults with ADHD, for 10 bucks a month. It's a scam to provide a chat space, for a paid rate every month, it's a scam to say that you can talk to these specific people but provide no kind of benefit for that chat. Don't advertise here, don't bring your bullshit grifting here either. It's not welcome. This space is intended to be free of the bullshit scams, grifting, and corporation ties there are deeply tied into every other social media site there is in existence. Let's try to protect that folks.
I know I don't post that often, not publicly anyhow. But this is my love note to Spacehey and it's dedicated users. Guard yourself from scam artists, con artists and dupes on the site. There's already a few lurking about trying to wiggle their way in to gain some kind of monetary line here. If you find it, copy the link, send it with the report of the submission or the user report, and let An and CO. deal with it. It's our job to guard this space now, let's pick up where An cannot.
