Apoligies for being gone, and for not even writing the rocket man poem, like how did I forget to do that? I will get around to it over the next few days.
I guess this is just me dropping in to say Gday before I run off the my uni classes for today and tommorow. I will try to post more frequently on here, maybe once a week or something.
I watched the hitmans bodyguard last night which was a lot of fun, considering I hate violence and blood and gore. (It wasn't Gory but there was blood and violence because there where a lot of deaths). Maybe watching supernatural so much the last few months has really done something to my processing for this sorta thing.
Superantural update: I am in season 11!!! its taken me so long, but I binged through seasons 6-10 in the last 3 months (it dosnt' really sound like binging but I sorta did them in bursts of 1/2 - 1 full season in a few days each week).
Todays my birthday which is cool, but I hate that I have homework and uni to do today otherwhise id be celebrating or something.
Where have I been? Well! lets get into that. (Fair warning its a long spcheel and your welcome to skip through it)
TLDR: Had to put my dog to sleep cos he was sick, then got burnt out at Uni due to the way my course is being handled by the teacher and its our last 10 weeks...
Since I joined SpaceHey some stuff happened that really messed with me mentally which is why I haven't been around, we had to put my dog to sleep because he was in renal failure and they said it would be VERY expensive to even begin testing and treating him since it was a sunday night. (over $1000 AUD for the first night and thats just housing and monitoring him, putting him on IV fluids and doing a blood test to find out how badly unwell he is and if anything else was effecting him) The prices where out of our budget, we only had just short of that much to even put towards his care at that point due to a number of factors, mainly being having used majority of my savings to buy christmas presents - because it was almost christmas - and being an unemployed uni student living with my nan made it hard too, she lives off a pension and I contribute a portion of my money I do get towards bills and food. Usually we wouldnt have an issue with vet bills, because they are typically only that high for more than a few days around my area but due to it being a weekend and covid making the facility short of staff + other factors that probably contributed it was chaos on a financial scale for us. I'v had sick dogs before, and iv taken care of them but my boy was past the point of recovering and so we had to make a decision that wasn't good for us but it would help him which is more important. We had taken him to a more local vet earlier in the year for an unrelated issue - he cut himself and was licking like mad to the point where it was infected so I had to treat his wound for about a month with vet guidance, it wasnt bad enough to need any sort of medical procedure thankfully.
So he had been sick for over a week but I had to wait for my family to be able to take him in which sucked, maybe we could have done more to help him but he did have an amazing life of 13 years which is average for a jackrussel. My dog had Arthritis and would dislocate his hips a lot even from a relatively young age. After his mate died (our other dog who unfortunetly passed away at the start of 2019) it changed the way he behaived around people. He didn't like other dogs so he only got walked every so often due to the fact that where I live is heavily populated with dogs, and he wasnt social around MOST humans which made going out with him impossible but I still loved him very much.

I got burnt out again at Uni, which is now in its final few weeks. I hate the way the assesments are run and the way our teacher has organised everything because now I have 2 assesments each week that require recordings, forms filled and other tasks completed. Usually we would just do our roleplays via zoom and fill in the forms but we wouldnt have to record them as often. 90% of my assessments are also now Paired or Group work which means there is almost nothing I can work on at my own pace which is why im so burnt out.
All that aside, it hasn't been the worst 4 months but it has sucked.
I'm gonna get off for now but I will be back soon.
