This episode is something different. It's a spooky Halloween episode.

Escargoon takes a picture of Dedede. When the photo develops, a ghost is seen in the photo next to Dedede. Dedede acts like he's not scared, but after consulting with the fortune teller, she warns of a ghost seeking revenge on Dedede tonight. All kinds of spooky things start happening throughout the castle. Even Fumu and her family had some spooky encounters. Dedede tries to order a ghost busting monster from Holy Nightmare, but they refuse to send him anything until he pays the bills. After more hijinks, turns out it was all a prank designed by Escargoon to get back at Dedede! He hired the fortune teller, Bun, and the castle guards to pull off all the pranks. The ghost was played by Kirby, Lololo, and Lalala. When Dedede finally learns the truth, he goes to chase them for a clobbering, only to run into another ghost; a ghost that he assumes is just Kirby in disguise, but in a final twist, this ghost is real... sort of. This ghost wants money, and scares Dedede into paying up. It was a monster from Holy Nightmare here to collect their debt.
This episode is definitely very atmospheric. It has some nice twists to give you some chills despite being a harmless kids' show. Not much in the way of action though, since Kirby doesn't actually fight the ghost. It was just here for Dedede's money.

I didn't notice any major cuts either. It's hard to keep track even when watching the show back to back in original Japanese and English dub. I don't know what I find more annoying, the fact that I notice the blatant cuts or that I can't spot what they cut for time. I guess the censorship is understandable, but when they cut stuff just so they can fit more commercials in the dub, that's annoying.
It's definitely an interesting episode because it give more character to Escargoon. Not my favorite episode. I honestly had forgotten about this episode until I rewatched it.
