weirddd morning

i got like 3 hrs of sleep and then my MOM called me to let me know ;-; it's kind of a funny story tho......

so yesterday i woke up to a dm from this dude who requested to follow me from my highschool, and it was like a "solve my riddle and i send u money" type thing right? so obvsss i send my answer and he's like "send me ur venmo" and i'm like, look, no one evr died from sending someone their venmo qr code and hoping for the best right??? (the best is a free $2000)

right!! but guess where i went wrong!! he said to confirm the payment i needed to change the recovery email to something ddumb and i was like no lolz i'm not stupid but guess what!! i super am because i was like okay, it's not like he can do anything with it tho (he can) and so i'm riffing with this dude, thinking im hilarious and hot sh!t and worst comes to worst, i don't get the money that i was nevr going to get and i have some funny screenshots to send to my friends

he ends up asking for a video of me to "confirm the payment" and i'm like "little 2 weird for me thanks" and i end the convo, change my recovery email back and think i've washed my hands of it :///

then i wake up this morning to a phone call abt my account getting hacked, apparently they dmed my friends to "prove it was me and i wasn't hacked", which no one fell for, and now i'm going thru the painful process of getting my claim through on ig support

did u know instagram sucks to get ahold of? u can't just get on the phone w a support team person, and my situation is... a bit different from the usual account impersonator story since it was 100% my fault and i was rlly dumb about the whole thing

they probably deal w sh!t like this all the time tho, right? right????
