there is a sever lack of understanding as to why tales of arise not having multiplayer has upset the fandom so hard so this is mostly for newer players but i figured i'd go over the history of tales multiplayer with you (note only going over main serise as there is way too many games in this series if i include them all we'd be here forever)
the most up to date game (until arise comes out) and one of the highest regarded games in the series and as it turns out so is it's multiplayer if you thought zesteria hit the ceiling of good multiplayer play berseria it improved upon what both xillia and zesteria did making it the best modern tales game for multiplayer (and the others where already really good) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i hope you understand why people are upset to see it go it's very clearly a staple with the only games not including it having good reasons not to and improving with each new installment and allowing for insane strats and combos certain titles even allowing for pvp combat (which was lightly touched here) honestly removal is something i expected from this title https://blog.spacehey.com/entry?id=24028 but i can't say it feels right multiplayer really has been a staple of the serise and with this being one of the only jrpgs with multiplayer the only other i can think of being monster hunter which has become it's own genre so it doesn't really count these games have become beloved for their multiplayer i can't tell you how many stories i've heard of couples playing these games togeather the only other feature of these games thats as solid a staple is the battle system itself which through all it's changes remains widely the same (as you may of seen from my linked blog i expect some wild changes in that regard as well) a customizable fighting game as a battle system-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------you're probably burned out on tales content by this point XD but in case you're not i'd like you to check out my playlist here i've been working to gather english versions of all the tales opening (even if i have to cover them myself) together into a playlist ordered by date of release it's been a huge project and i'm still working on it
