Hello everyone! I've been fairly busy but I'm getting the hang of this work/school/life balance .
I got my first payslip from my new employer finally ! it feels so nice to have even a little bit more money than usual . I recently was able to buy my brother and mum an ice-cream from our corner store as well as dinner last night , this is the stuff that makes me happy, being able to afford treats for my family even if they're small, and especially because one of my love languages is gift-giving .
I'm now working completely on my own now at work and it's been going well I feel competent enough! I've just been feeling a little shy in terms of conversation with new people though I've already become acquainted with some people already .
First week of school was great! but I'm going to leave most of my talk about school for my separate school life blog.
I got my official certificate for my year of study last year which I'm very proud of . I also bought this really cute moleskine journal for when I go out to work or whatever and wanna draw. I wanna keep the amount of journals/diaries I keep to a minimum this year since juggling like 10 different books is hard lol .
So for now I just have my student/yearly planner, my visual arts journal, my daily casual journal and a personal diary (that I rarely write in anyway) .
We began this past week with Valentines day! My absolute favorite holiday of the year it's so pretty the decorations are always sooo cute and there's something beautiful about the world coming together to recognize the most important feeling of love ! valentines day shouldn't just be relegated to lovers and couples it should be for everyone that loves someone! no matter the form that comes in .
But that's just how I feel about it. I made about ten origami pieces 5 butterflies and 5 hearts to give out to some people in my classes, thank god everyone liked them! I still have 2 left over I'm not sure what I should do with them. But I hope you let someone you loved that you do! \
I had an idea in the past week to set up a community locker , after seeing something similar at my workplace I thought it would be a good idea to put one in my school . A bestie of mine loves this kind of thing so we worked on it together . For anyone who wants to know a community locker is a locker filled with free necessities and items for the people to take/use what they need, it's like a pet pantry or a take one leave one library, mutual aid but only a small scale.
My bestie also printed out resources and places for any help people may need.
We're very proud of the little job we've done and hope it helps someone, anyone out!
I made a new friend on Tuesday afternoon ! At the bus stop he was a nice friendly guy who just moved here from Nepal. I was a little nervous because usually men who start conversations with me end up a little awkward and creepy and becomes a little weird . But he was genuinely nice and just seemed a little lonely being in a new country with no friends. We talk a little bit online now and I wish him the best!
As an aside my current fave song is No - CLC I didn't like this song very much when I first heard it but I rediscovered it and idk why I didn't like it! it's hitting right this time I guess.
Last night we went out and had some vegan pizza which popped off and ruled tbh. I was also wearing a really cute vest my mum had knitted for me.

Cool Pizzamancer skeleton guy
This cute/terrifying baby toy I'm obsessed with (but couldn't have )
Today not much to do I'm just resting from my busy week and cleaned up a little bit , slept and finished and sent out invites to a picnic I'll be having for my upcoming birthday!
I hope everyone is doing well! Thank you if you took the time to read this. Have a good night (day whatever, wherever you are)
