Ranking the Image Comics Animated series

Took me awhile but in honour of Image comics 30th Anniversary I have seen at least the first episode of every animated series based on an Image comics. Now I will rank them. Some things to confirm I have not watch the Invincible motion comics or Battle Pope. Battle Pope because it was not on TV at the time just on Spike TV's website at a time where streaming wasn't really a thing and Invincible due to Amazon series doing the same thing so no point. I added Supercrooks to this list as although that wasn't an Image comics the show is connected to Jupiter's Legacy which is.

9. Wildcats - sorry could not make it through the first episode it was that bad.

8. Super Dinosaur - Personally didn't find it interesting at all but this one would be made for very young kids so maybe simply just not made to be appealing to me.

7. Savage Dragon - Now we get into the actual half decent shows from my point of view. Savage Dragon felt like it was trying to be like a ninja turtles cartoon and overall did a good job in the first episode at least but as someone who has read a Savage Dragon comic (albeit one trade) I just felt like this was not capturing the spirit of the original comic in anyway which is why I can't rank it higher.

6. Witchblade - Watched the first episode and really enjoyed the storyline about a mother struggling to do right by her child and ending up with the Witchblade power and I do like the anime style but could not rank it higher simply due to how over sexualised the costumes are. Overall this one is good but just not my thing.

5. The Maxx - I know I said I don't like over sexualised but even though The Maxx is a bit like that it isn't as bad a Witchblade and the animation and art are excellent for the time. I like the vibe it was going for and it was really enjoyable.

4. Spawn - Another mature animation but this one is less for being sexualised and more for being violent. Again great animation style and this truly captures the look and feel of the comic. The story is great and of course Keith David who voices Spawn is awesome.

3. Generator Rex - Was debating whether to put this in but I think it counts even though the comic had only 2 issues. Great animation and story which the producers Man of Action are known for. I love the concept which is basically what if a 15 year old boy was a transformer and worked for the government to cure people who turned into monsters. This one also has crossed over with Ben 10 a few times including last year they had a crossover even though Generator Rex was cancelled in 2013 and seems to have a large enough fanbase for me to think either a Reboot or sequel should be made.

2. Supercrooks - This one is a Netflix anime for adults that is a spin off from a live action Netflix shows which is strange in itself but what is even weirder is that this Anime is ten times better than the show it spun out of. Concepts here is simple. Ocean's eleven but with superpowers. Great heist TV show and I am glad that they announced a live action adaption.

1. Invincible - Well of course it is number one. Fantastic show with great animation, writing and voice acting all of which feels like the just feels like someone put a magic spell on comics and turned it into a TV series.

Hope you enjoyed my ranking. This is just my opinion but if want to disagree then go ahead.
