a valentine league of their own

let's start off with a little bit of a little bit of backstory:

in one episode he talks about videos people posted to youtube to their cringy valentine's day videos

follow me so far? awesome... ok so now for why...

in the video above around the :38 second mark, he makes a joke about being "10, 11 hohos deep... maybe watching a league of their own... alone" and also makes a joke of having a date with all american girl baseball team around the 4:01 minute mark

i had not seen a league of their own in a while, so it prompted me to watch it on valentine's day. because why not.... i was alone and nothing else to do.

the next year, a league of their own was on tv on valentine's day. i remembered the joke from vvfs and thought it would be funny to watch the movie again... i was still alone on valentine's day so i didn't have any other plans...

and then the tradition stuck... because by year three of this charade... it felt weird not watching it on valentine's day

so now over 10 years later... i still watch a league of their own on valentine's day. luckily my valentine's day date for the past 8 years (aka the boyfriend) has been a sport with the tradition and does watch it with me every year. (he understood the assignment lol)
