Three Days Grace - One-X (Album Review)

One-X is Three Days Grace’s second full-length debut album, their third overall, and in my opinion, their best one. The self-titled album still comes to a pretty close second, don’t get me wrong, but a lot of the lyrics on One-X were written by Adam when he was in rehab after getting so addicted to OxyContin that he couldn’t start his day without them, so it was a lot more personal to them than their self-titled album.

One of the other things I love about it is that it feels like a “light at the end of the tunnel” sort of thing, because it starts off with the opening track It’s All Over which, to me, is about someone who drinks away all of their problems and think that's going to solve it, followed by songs like Animal I Have Become where he is asking for help, but as it goes on, you will hear songs like Never Too Late, Time of Dying, and the title track that tell the listeners they are not alone and they can get through it.

Just like the self-titled album, every single song on this album is amazing, including the criminally underrated bonus track Running Away. You can tell Adam really poured his heart into this one, which is why it’s another instant 10/10 for me.
