Need some help lads

How can i add links or interactive buttons onto my page? I see plenty of people add links to YouTube or interactive buttons or images that are linked to a particular YouTube video or playlist. Can someone show me the coding or a website that can take me to learning how to do that? I'm extremely confused as i have not worked with this type of coding (more of a Java script person)
