Clone Hero using a keyboard

I heard that using a keyboard has a big disadvantage in playing Clone Hero which is not surprising considering that I'm actually struggling to even play faster songs like Dragonforce, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Slayer, etc. Tremolo picking is awkward because instead of a strum bar, I have 2 keys to press. The down arrow key and the up arrow key and my star power is right ctrl. Bit of a mess right? Lol, but it's all I have in the meantime.


Guitar Hero controller, at least where I live, have a hefty price tag. It costs roughly around more than 50 dollars even the used ones, and even if I find ones that are cheap, the seller is really far away from the designated place I'm in. So yeah, I'm kinda stuck with my keyboard for now.
