practice everyday and write down everything you practice (even if you already know it the repetition will cement it in your brain!!). practice when you wake up/having breakfast and before you go to bed. your brain is a sponge! it will soak it up with time, mon amie

https://youtu.be/rBSflK1FTSY. We used to be subjected to this cartoon in French class often. Tubes in ananas translates to you are a pineapple.

The think the best way to learn is to immerse yourself in French movies, cartoons, soaps, even writing a journal in French even if it’s super basic like my name is... I’m happy.

If you don’t know any French, try duolingo. It’s free and good to start learning words. Once you start start in on watching and speaking. You will love it

A great French book is Le Petit Nicolas (French Edition) (Folio) https://www.amazon.com/dp/2070364232/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_KKv1Fb1RNTV95

French has evaded me for 27 years of my life as well, and I don't know why. Whenever you think you've finally gotten the hang of what a "baguette" is, they keep coming up with new words. It's just maddening.
