I'm already quite a few episodes ahead, but the holidays kept me busy from updating.
Episode 10 is all about Chief Borun (Chief Bookem). After falling asleep directing traffic and causing a traffic accident involving the only 2 cars in all of Pupupu Village, Dedede decides to get rid of Borun. When Bun (Tuff) hears about this, he wants to help prove to everyone that the town needs Borun. So he gets the village kids and Kirby to commit crimes all over town just to show how helpful Borun really is, until their mischief ends up causing Bun to fall into a Volcano.

It's an okay episode. Not the best. It's another episode to flesh out the townsfolk so that's nice. There isn't even a monster for Kirby to fight. I think the biggest issue with this episode is how forced some of the plot points were. The traffic accident was due to Borun falling asleep on the job, but the show also depicts him as a competent officer when the kids start to cause trouble. But then we also find out Borun lied about being in the army and being some tough war veteran, when in fact it was his brother who was in the army. When Bun falls into the volcano, Borun climbs down to try and save him, and Fumu wanted to call the wrap star, but Meta Knight stops her to give Borun a chance to prove himself. When Borun fails, then Kirby and the wrap star are called to save the day. I feel like the drama is just sorta forced because one might they want to show that Borun is competent, then the next he fails at his job. Though Bun admiring Borun, and Borun later fessing up on his lie was pretty nice.
Kirby himself doesn't do much. He's just happy going along with the kids committing crimes, which is pretty funny.

So I noticed this episode cut one short scene for no other reason than to make the episode shorter and fit more commercials. There's a 2 second scene where the others yell "watch out" before the car accident. That was cut. So not everything is censorship. That just lame. The other change that stuck out is the Borun has an older brother who was the ranger. In the English dub, Bookem doesn't mention having an older brother, just that he was rejected by the army. It's an interesting detail, but you never see or hear about his older brother after this anyway, so it's no big deal. Otherwise, there's really not that much difference. Just different jokes and banter among the characters.
Now the next episode will be interesting... well interesting in that I always enjoyed this episode a lot.
