I just went through my Spotify playlist looking for something "underground" to recommend to you, but realized: I don't really listen to much underground stuff. I guess I listen to a lot of grunge and punk and those genres are a bit dead, so new stuff is hard to come by, whereas the older underground stuff is hard to find.

grunge and punk is a genre i still need to explore so if you have any fav songs/artists from the genre im open to any recommendations :)

Of course. I'm not a purist in those genres like others. The grunge I listen to is not as.. heavy?. For example, a lot of Alice In Chains, L7, etc. is hard to listen to because it almost edges on metal for me sometimes.

Anyway, punk rock recommends: The Offspring (my personal favorite), Sum 41, Rise Against, Seether, Stone Sour, Bad Religion, Strung Out, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Rage Against The Machine and many others. Here's my playlist for these and more: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6hyExQaOIycCFDgBjYdtxf?si=7b855fdeb17e4e3c

A bit lighter mood punk, edging on pop punk sometimes: The Offspring (again), Sum 41 (especially their mid 00s songs), Blink-182, Good Charlotte, Alkaline Trio and more here: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4JUAKSIrlioOhJLbbv1805?si=73d2628049694115

Finally, grunge.. the genre I've been listening to the most for the past 6 months: Soundgarden (I fucking love them. Check out Chris Cornell's solo stuff!), Audioslave (not exactly grunge but still fits), Hole, Alice In Chains, Candlebox, Radiohead (again, more alt-rock really), Mudhoney, Temple Of The Dog. Here's the playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5kSh5Ki294tolOLhQNHD3D?si=d60470f5ffec4e78

I'll end it off by saying, I'm still relatively new to music. I only really started listening for real in late 2020, and as for the grunge/alt-rock scene, only really 6-7 months since June of last year. Anyway, have fun! Hope I didn't overload you. My recommendation is just favoriting my playlists and shuffling through.
