They are two demons who were imprisoned together by a tyrannical demon's supporters, sharing the same jail cell, and developed a brotherly bond over time.

Zilren is the abrasive, prideful, and confident big brother figure, while Soran is the innocent, naive, and sheepish little brother figure.

The shackles on their necks were received from their imprisonment, Zilren wears it as a sign of rebellion against the tyrant who once ruled the underworld and his supporters while Soran wishes to get his removed...but they haven't found a safe way to get it off.

Soran: Don't...you think we should help?

Zilren: Okay fine, I'll try to help them...but you are to stay. right. here. Understand?

Soran: Okay..

Zilren: And..if things get ugly..run..er..fly..whatever you want to do to escape
