Finally When I Was Popular

Unlike many other great writers, I became well known during my own lifetime. Throughout the 1590's I became popular enough to be criticized by many famous critics of the theatre, including a jealous rival of mine, Robert Greene. Soon after I became a shareholder of the Lord  Chamberlain's Men who performed before Queen Elizabeth several times. In the late 1990's, shortly after my son died, I had mad bank so I bought New Place, the second largest house in Stratford.
