idont think i have very many scene kidz wit black/afro/curly hair, but I AM !! and i wna know if the only 1who feels "less scene" than others when I embrace my hair (esp since ive been straightening my hair since pre-k, i legit might go bald from so much heat).
i think its cuz less ppl recognize me as "scene" wit curls?
but theres also like sm ppl so legit say stuff like..
"you gotta be PALE and STRAIGHT HAIRED to be scene, if not ur a poser nd should DIE."
tht typa speak gets to me sometimes, ive been hearing more of it evar since i got into scene. idk

dude i getchu!!! im not scene, but im gyaru, and theres so much emphasis on intricate hairstyles n my hair's SUPPPERRRRR coily, so i cant do most of them w/o straightening my hair n feeling like a bum :p

people that try to exclude others from subcultures just because of their natural features are STUPID. the scene subculture isnt only the hair, and ive seen ppl pull off a scene/emo outfit/look with wavy and curly hair too. Straightening it isnt required :3
