Why do we reread books or rewatch movies?

Because we want a picture we already understand and don’t want to face the unknown. There’s also a sense of comfort in knowing the plot and who’s going to die—fuck it. By rewatching or rereading, we can recall parts of the plot and dialogues, and look at everything from a different angle. Sometimes it’s because we’re attached to the characters. For example, you have a favorite character, and you’ll rewatch it a thousand times just to see your character appear for three seconds—and everything related to them.

Anyway, I rewatch TV shows (and sometimes books, though that’s a one-time thing) to recapture that vibe and the time when I first watched it. Or to get that hyperfix for a character all over again ( ≧∀≦)ノ

What you think about it??????

Sometimes there’s just no time to try something new—what if I end up not liking it??? It’s like buying expensive food that turns out to be gross. Idk, I’m just constantly stressing about how I spend my time. Most of the movies I watch are ones I’ve already seen. And yeah, i’m prone to nostalgia, so I often find myself wanting to relive cherished moments rather than create new ones

For me, I rarely if ever rewatch a film or reread a book. I just have too much on my watchlist/readlist I don't have the time
