femcels and incels are simply people who are celibate even though they don't want to be, that's all Also, you don't need to be a virgin or have never been in a relationship to be an incel or femcel ok,,, tbh, it's just stupid how much people argue about this, it seems like a competition to see who's the biggest loser

there can be a disconnect between the literal or intended definition of a word and it's current use, this is what has happened with the incel and femcel terms and, as a more recent example, larper has been through a similar degradation in meaning
Yeah bro, but I still think it's good to correct these people; people should go back to using the terms correctly

i mean in concept that would be nice but the term has been so thoroughly coopted that i doubt anyone with even halfdecent intentions would want to use the terms anymore even if they would technically fall under the label. i would not want to use a label that is associated with such things in the general cultural context even if i do technically fall under the definition.

incel means "involuntary celibate" and can't get women either because they're "ugly", socially awkward, autistic, or genuinely insufferable towards women (these ones deserve to be lonely tbh) and a femcel would mean the same thing, so most "femcels" aren't even femcels since they're usually neurotypical women with a body count of 20+.
Women can be just as much of a loser as men, and it's possible for a girl to be involuntarily celibate simply because she doesn't fit the standards, even if she's not genuinely ugly, Just like a man. But to be honest, in my experience at least, all the men I've met, even the ugly, annoying, unfunny, rude, and misogynistic ones, manage to get girls, simply because they are men, but that doesn't mean incels don't exist; they do exist. This is just my personal experience and that of many other people, but they do exist and I've met many of them
