hi, since forever (maybe?) i've had this problem of finding it hard to get out of my house alone and recently i find it more annoying than ever bc i want to get out and do something else than sitting in my room if i'm not meeting anyone. just the thought of getting out is making me uncomfortable?? so maybe anyone has a trick or two to make it easier to get out?? just ughh... i know it'll get easier eventually after i'm used to doing so, but maaaaybe there is a way to get more motivated to get out!! my house is my comfort zone, but sometimes it truly makes me feel lonely and isolated. SOO maybe someone here does know the ball and wants to share, maybe someone overcame this fear

what helps me is looking up events for niche interests that are happening nearby since you're way more likely to run into chill people there-- for ex. a trading card convention. The smaller the community usually the more warm/understanding they are to newcomers and welcoming to ppl looking to enter the scene so like if you're a lil awkward or something it's whatever.
Also much easier to talk ppl since everyone there is into the same thing! U can easily strike up a convo about the interest-- ex. did you see the latest episode of xyz show?
Beyond events some activities that are normal to do alone:
-browse record/music stores
-read in the park/library/town square area
-go for a bike ride
-going to the bar and sitting at the stools by the bar (very normal to chill alone and talk to the bartender or ur seat neighbor, found this kinda tough in the beginning tho so scope out bars and figure out which one fits ur vibe the best)
Hope this helped :)

im not sure if this is gonna be helpful, but what got me to do things outside and deal with depression in the slightest was a mindset that im going to explore. Idk where you live, but a small town or a countryside would be ideal - or if you live in a big city, maybe a neighboring city or a smaller town nearby. Getting your body to actually move and finally get up might be a challenge, but try to count and then stand up suddenly and walk a few steps, thats what helped me to break myself from the cycle of contemplating whether i should get up or no. When you're done with this, all dressed up and stuff, you just go out and depending on how familiar you are with your area, find somewhere you (perhaps) wanted to go to but never went there and visit that place. you could take photos and blog them, or just keep them to yourself. you could also go grab a snack if theres a store nearby, if you have a sweet tooth. And if you have a problem with feeling lonely during such walks, headphones are your best friends. if not music then even a stupid background video could do. Personally I'm just used to being alone and I dont like persistent presence of people around me, so I cannot help much with that. I hope eventually you'll overcome this problem
