Night 2-- Scarecrow

Night 2 was better than night 1, I think. Apparently I lucked out for our first night, because it was a disaster for everyone else. In any case, people seem to be a lot more optimistic this week. We only had one day again because we got rained out on Saturday. I'm not in a whole lot of pain (I was on Saturday and Sunday though), and because I was a silent character, I didn't lose my voice at all. 

For Scarecrows, I was actually too short to reach the scarecrow posts, and I didn't want to jump off the stage a bunch, so I hid in the corn before my appearance (I think that actually added to the "the scarecrows have escaped and are wandering around" effect). I tried to make my movements look taxing and irregular, like I wasn't supposed to be able to move and I was actively fighting it. I think it worked, considering I spooked literally everybody (including my managers four times-- a new personal record!). We actually had a marathon run through our cornfield before hours for a charity event, and a good few people stopped to take pictures with me. I felt very honoured to be the designated scary of the corn. 

The only downside of these single-person scenes is that there's no one to talk to in downtime. I usually end up talking to the corn. Cornfields are great listeners, because they're all ears. My partner was in the scene ahead of me, though, so him and his victim (he was an Executioner again, this time for Hangman) came to visit a couple times. 

Makeup artist tryouts are tomorrow. Me and Light are gonna practice our airbrushing after school today, and then tomorrow we're going to tryouts. I'm excited, but nervous. I get worried when I'm doing makeup on other people. Still, that's why I need to practice it. 

This week, this week, I'm gonna try to get Surgeon. I'm bringing jambalaya and agua frescas, so that may help boost my standing. We also brought (extremely dense) cupcakes on Friday, and my managers were very proud of my scarecrowing. Surely this will work.
