9/19 show

aint nothing like finding a really good show with amazing costumes and a really cool premise and amazing execution, only to slowly realize over the first 3 episodes that hmm. this kinda seems a bit. christian propoganda-y. and wait. i recognize that actor,,, isnt she a terf podcaster?

yeah turns out the show was written by a conservative political commentator.

they were really trying to hammer home the whole "the old gods are so DEMANDING and they want you to SACRIFICE for them and they rule through FEAR, but OUR god, the TRUE god, he sacrificed FOR us and he wants to unite us all under LOVE as opposed to those nasty old gods who hold you down like a WEIGHT" and also all the christians were like. lowkey acting like an oppressed minority? set in the 5th century btw.

i am a queer pagan person. this show and the people who made it were literally dissing my entire existence.
