Retro Game Haul

I went shopping at my local game store today. I've been trying to post here more so I thought I'd share what I bought instead of doing something productive.

I spent 50$ on Dora The Explorer and Go Diego Go games for the PS2. The store had a bunch of them and I thought it would be funny to buy them all.

I'm not sure whether it was worth it or not.

In other news I bought FlatOut for the PS2 which I've heard good things about, StarTropics for the NES which has been on my list for a bit now, R.C. Pro-am for the NES which I've had alot of fun with on NSO, and Home Alone for the NES which is actually birthday gift for my brother (he's a big fan of the movie and thinks it's funny to own notoriously bad games).

I've only gotten a chance to play StarTropics today, but it's very good. Some of the design is antiquated and the art isn't great but the soundtrack is wonderful, the writing is very charming, and the gameplay is quite fun.

This was a pretty good haul. I've saved up alot of money from swearing off steam sales, so it's nice that I've gotten chance to spend it, even if most of it was spent on Dora and Diego games.
