More than a guide, this is a short list of some basics: the subgenres of the scene. Not all scene kids are the same! There are always branches for everything, and the scene is no exception!
(Although more than clothing, these subgenres are usually differentiated by musical genres, kek)
1-Scenemo
As the name suggests, "scene" and "emo" (xd), this is a scene kid who usually listens to more post-hardcore, punk-rock, emotional hardcore, screamo, and sasscore.

(I couldn't find the girl's name, omg)
2-Crunkcore
These are usually the scene kids who come to mind when we think of the scene (and not scenecore): hair full of colors and chemicals, party accessories, and lots and lots of color.
These scene kids usually listen to crunkcore, electro-pop, punk-pop, electronicore, UK hardcore (happy hardcore), and others. Closely related to the rave scene kids, due to all the electronic and synth music.
An example of their style would be the guys from Brokencyde, or similar.

3-Pastel scene
From the influences of pastel goth combined with scene comes pastel scene, which combines the typical rebelliousness of scene with the sweet and adorably terrifying pastel goth.
Although I don't think it's a specific subgenre, I have seen many girls combine both styles, so I think it's worth including on the list!
These scene kids usually listen to pop punk, alt pop, emocore and post-hardcore, dark pop, and synthpop, although this "branch" is more related to fashion than music.

4-Br00tal scene
These scene kids are more on the "heavier" side of scene. We're talking about people who usually listen to metalcore, deathcore, punk rock, and sasscore, screamo, crabcore, grindcore, and DMS
The makeup of "br00tal kids" is usually heavier, with darker colors, and their hair is more voluminous and usually less colorful, though it's still considered scene.

5- (andย although somewhat controversial) Scenecore
I couldn't specify exactly what this type of "scene kids" wears, but I think what makes them super recognizable are KANDI bracelets, leg warmers, and baggy jeans, for some reason, Gir. Scenecore fans don't wear makeup or have any hairstyles (since they completely ignore all that ยฏ\_(ใ)_/ยฏ).
The music they listen to is confusing, since there isn't any xd.
You could say they listen to hyperpop, some subgenres of electronic music, or probably indie rock.
Without a doubt, scenecore is simply a style of dress, but no, I couldn't specify a particular type of music.

I hope this helps someone, so they can see if they want to belong to a certain scene, and so on.
(Obviously, I should point out that I don't know everything about the scene, and I also make mistakes; I'm sure there are a lot of many subgenres of this subculture out there.)
If you're wondering what happens if you listen to, for example, electronic pop but also deathcore, you're a normal scene kid.
