Book store

It makes me very sad that queer literature is often hidden from sight in bookstores :(((. I got this book once (Self Made Boys) from the on sale table once at this book shop. I wanted to get another copy for a friend, so I went back there to find it again. I looked everywhere, including the romance section (which the book is about romance- I still very much fancy my mythology books by the way.) still… nothing. I asked an employee, and they pointed all the way to the back shelf at the bottom. There was the book, and from what I could tell- many other lgbtq+ books were there too. Now keep in mind I searched the whole store before this. And I’ve been to many other stores across the country, it’s a reoccurring pattern. I hope queer media soon becomes normalized and easier to access soon in the future.
