I have a budget phone and it's ass, to put it simply. It lags for no reason, it's slow, it has so much bloatware that I'm too lazy and frustrated to learn how to remove and I don't know I just don't like it. On top of that I really hate social media, Instagram specifically since that's where I talk to people the most and the one I use the most. It's laggy, clunky, meta is always spying on you ever since the end to end encryption ended, it's just bad and people complain all the time about it so i wont waste time on this. I'm genuinely considering selling my phone, getting a flip phone and a laptop and living a peaceful life with no algorithms. That is somewhat impossible for me right now cause I'm poor as shit and I'm poor as shit, even if I sold my phone -which who would buy a used redmi13c??- I'd still probably not even have enough for an old flip phone. So next best option wait till I can work and save up money. 💔💔
I really hate smart phones, especially budget phones

There fliphones out there that are modernish that run versions of android that could probably be used in your day to day life that where probably as much are your redmi 13c
budget phones are unbearable I'm so glad I moved up to a decent Motorola mid ranger

ur lucky u could move up though! im broke as shit so im stuck with budget phones until i can start earning my own money... although i could also save up and get those old ass phones i want, theyre probably really cheep at the local flee market and theres one coming up in october!

Tbh you probably could If you are talking about like those old fliphones like older Nokia and Motorola phones they can't cost more than a couple bucks the only issue would be using modern networks on it

mannnn imma have my gaming pc to check all the social media bullshit, i already talk to my friends on the Instagram desktop site when my phones charging in the other room! Plus im thinking of getting a "work" laptop in the future so i can check that shit on the go and yk use it for work/school if i need to. it may be over kill with a pc already but to me its worth it... and i feel like it would make me cooler with a laptop out instead of a phone

yes bro my grandma had a similar phone til recently and it lasted her like 15 years of non stop use! so if i could get one that isnt on the brink of death i could be set! also if i dont find one —which is unlikly theres DEFINITELY still old phones that heavnt been used much— it wouldnt hurt to learn a thing or two about technological engineering. Actually been meaning to at least try to learn how, it looks sick as hell and would be very useful! i got a few ideas for some unique tech but no way to build it!

If your talking about actually building something you might want to look into cyberdecks and making a pocket computer out of scrapped old electronics

Yeah I've been meaning to, but I keep forgetting and also there isnt really too much scrap for me to use. I think I'd be better off waiting til i can get the scrap and then learn. like that the knowledge will be fresh in my mind. also i do still really wanna learn how to build something from scratch it *would* be a useful skill and that would kinda be a good place to start!
