finding out that i’m actually disabled

So i have these two conditions called osgood-schlatter disease and lordosis.

The first one is chronic knee pain in both my knees caused from my knee joints not growing properly, and the other is an inward curve in my lower back. Because of these conditions a lot of things are pretty hard for me to do. I can’t sit down for long periods of time, as well as walking, because it puts me in a lot of pain. I also struggle to lift moderately heavy things without being put in pain.

Recently i had found out via friend(who is also disabled) that my chronic pain counts as a disability, because well… it limits my ability to basic tasks, even if it’s minor. Learning this has become a whole new thing i had to process, especially since i never even once thought i could be considered disable. This all just feels weird and saying i have a disability makes me feel like I’m seeking attention even though I’m not.

I don’t know if anyone else is in the same situation as me lol, but if so i would like to know how you guys also handled finding this type of stuff out too.
