HALLO EVERYBODY!!

it’s been a minute… how is everyone?

i lowkey abandoned my biweekly updates as soon as my job started

(my first day was literally june 23 and my last blog post was june 22... oops)

WHAT A SUMMER...

i'm trying to think... what did i even do all summer aside from work...?

not to say the work experience was bad (i had good and bad times! =͟͟͞͞(꒪ᗜ꒪‧̣̥̇) but i met a lot of new people who i can now call friends) but it certainly took up a lot of my time (ᵕ—ᴗ—)

highkenuinely most of my summer activities i posted about on tiktok but here's some stuff i didn't post:

that time i waited in line from 6am in the morning at arisan sunnyvale's grand opening since the first 30 people in line got a $30 gift card just to be the 31st person in line

( i got a pic with the mayor of sunnyvale tho... which is a win... i think...? )

the amount of food they fed me at my internship... my favorite thing was the subsidized coffee spot below my workplace

they hired solely volunteers so my drink was always made a little differently each time but i loved it!!!

(also loved this day where one of the higher ups made us all breakfast hehe)

all the popups i went to

but especially the pompompurin meet & greet, junbi x snoopy, and heytea x world cup

going to kplay fest + anime impulse bay area where i dropped a paycheck

it was my first convention since 2022 and i had so much fun

going to places i haven't been before (carmel by the sea, apple park)

and places i haven't been to in months (richmond district),

 years (mission peak),

even in a decade (universal studios)

ofc i stayed on top of the lagree

and on the eats :3

LOS ANGELES...

i'm officially moved in (have been for about three weeks now...)

i moved into a new apartment and i like it...

( at the same time tho my AC IS LEAKING??? )

it's weird realizing this is my last year in la though...

i don't think i'm going to get a master's tbh... i've been applying to jobs and am planning to work my tail off right after i graduate...

i will miss this city as much as i hate it here sometimes

i don't have a car so i haven't explored nearly as much as i wish i had at that point...

that's a mission for me to complete and talk about in a future entry though...

my classes have actually been quite alright so far

then again anything would be better than what i had last year...

( the deadly ochem + biochem + molecular bio combo)

i'm so chill tho i get to spend 900% of my time in my room

( double edged sword... i'm not beating my room dweller allegations...)

but at least i get so much more time now compared to summer even with my assignments

CONSUME MEDIA

i finished persona 3 reload...

( elizabeth fight might've been the worst experience of my life)

it took me hella long actually and i wasn't expecting it to..?

i finished persona 3 portable (makoto ver.) in about 60 hours and persona 3 reload took me about 85 (⁠•⁠ ⁠▽⁠ ⁠•⁠;⁠)

i liked it... i reviewed it on gg...

( speaking of, i literally jumped for joy when i saw persona 4 revival & persona 6 are coming to switch 2!! i am NOT going to get a playstation 5 lol )

i also then played lollipop chainsaw as a bit of a palate cleanser...!

i really liked it actually! it definitely seems like something i would have enjoyed a lot at the time it came out ( and i still enjoy it, it just feels a bit dated now )

but for now i'm slowly making it through silent hill 3 which it feels like i've been playing 4ever...

i'm just really slow at it guys im sorry ;;;

i've been watching nana quite a bit lately

i watch 2~3 episodes a day on the tv i got in my apartment... 

most of the times my roommates will be in the living room and passively watch it w me

we are all lowkey nobu truthers ...!

xcept my 1 roommate who is a nana squared believer...

every now and then though i've been watching the occasional movie

i only saw minions & monsters, brand new day, and the odyssey at the time i was working

(all in theaters of course)

but i'm trying to make it a habit to watch a movie every friday from now on...

first was chronicle (in my apartment)

but last week i watched filipiñana in the imax theater @ usc

the director was also there... ( shoutout rafael manuel )

AND CONSUME(rism)

i'm starting another job soon ദ്ദി(｡•̀ ,<)~✩‧₊

but it's 1000% less intensive than the 9-5 i did over the summer since it's a remote work-study job

still... i lowkey need to reel my spending back in

i haven't even been buying k-pop albums in a hot minute...

i went to kpop bestie in koreatown tho and saw so many albums with cool packaging tho... i wanted to start collecting them again (,; ⩌ ;,)

(but w/ how tbz are going into military era soon i think it'll be a bit before i do...

maybe taeyong...? maybe svt...? idk.)

then again i have to keep saving for my joshua collection...  ˶ˊᜊˋ˶

most of my paycheck has been going to persona 30th lowkey

i went to the shonen jump store with a few friends too and that was catastrophic;;

next time i'll talk a lot more about ji changmin and joshua hong
