no more talk of hiatuses

The word "hiatus" will forever be cast out of my vocabulary. Of course I jest but every time I say I'm on a short break between gigs, something comes up.

And I'm ready!!

Received a text from Evolution's singer Evie, asking me if I was around this Friday for their gig at The River Grille in Chatham, NJ. Yep, I am definitely available, I exclaimed! Which means I have not had any breaks since August 1. That works for me. I think I had a week off somewhere there...get back to me.

Could I have said no? Indeed I could have but why not play and get paid, instead of sitting home twiddling my thumbs? I'd rather twiddle my fingers up and down the guitar neck. Not that anyone would be dazzled by my prowess but that's not why I play live anymore. I do it because it's way more relaxed and enjoyable now than ever before. 

I will not have any break until after Halloween, and even then who knows what will happen. I wanted gigs, and boy I'm getting them! And Supernova, my main gig, is already getting things lined up for 2027. And the best part? THE ROOMS ARE CONTACTING US! Not the other way around. 

I will be 57 on November 2, but I always say that my heart and hair still think I'm 18.
