basically we cleared out my entire room today so we could build furniture. I looked in my brother’s room some hours after the fact, and saw my old samsung phone sitting in the open on his doorside table. He has asked me before if he could use it, either to sell or use as a burner. I’ve told him no. When they were moving my furniture, I was doing a chore on the other side of the house, and thus would be perfectly unaware of this theft. Had I not seen it in his room when walking by, I would never have known of it. 

Naturally, this is a discussion my parents would have had with me before giving it to my brother, who has no immediate need for it. So, from this, I can conclude he pocketed it whilst moving my things, and left it carelessly on his doorside table.

Now, here’s the fun part. As I’ve taken it back, if he were to ask me about it or even have the balls to demand it back, he instantly incriminates himself, as I can retort with “what? you had it? why would you take it, did you get permission?” if he answers no, which I’m most certain he will, I can then assert that he stole it from my room without my or our parents’ knowledge/consent, and had intentions to sell it for profit or use it as a burner, as he’s stated his intention to do somultiple times. So, either he incriminates himself, or he keeps his mouth shut and I keep my old phone and can use it myself as a sort of extraneous device for whatever purpose my mother and father approve.
