4th Grade Camp

As u know, I go camping once a year with my classmates. Today I'm telling u how it was.

Monday 24/08 - First Day

I got up at 7.00am, I checked if I had everything in my bag and suitcase and I went to school at 7.30am. Later, around 8.25am, when the rest of us where at the church (cause my school is catholic and the teachers were going to tell us in wich coach we were going to traverl), my bff Mari came. IDK why but they put me and Mari in the same coach and work-group (maybe cause Mari is our tutor's fav and she told her that we are bff). Anyways, we got on the coach (ofc we were sitting together), the teachers took attendance and then we start travelling.

Mari slept, like, the whole journey; and I've been listening the music and playing games or watching movies I have downloaded.

I don't remember what we did when we arrived there besides we played UNO and my bf told me she was confused about her feelings to Lorenzo (this is important because they are exes and she made jokes about got back together).

Tuesday 25/08 - Second Day

We got up at 7.00am and we have the same fucking breakfast: milk or mate cocido with bread with dulce de leche or jam. AAAAAAAAgh, why is it always the same breakfast and snak???

Anyways, after that, we got on the coach, they took attendance and then we travelled to a school. There, Lucia and María Emilia (two of my classmates) did a few activities that are like "u must to do and say everything I do and say" and then we put together the games we made at school... Well, I didn't do any game cause I didn't have a group in my class, so I just stay wih Mari, Andy and Máximo (Andy and Lorenzo's friend and he was there for the same reason as me). The kids were adorable.

After that we returned to the camp, we had lunch and at 4.30pm we did some activities. When we finished them, my bff FINALLY listened to me and went to talk to Andy to ask him why Lorenzo treated her badly and if she have to go and talk to him. Andy and Máximo told her IT WAS CAUSE SHE REJECTED HIM; we were like "WTF WDYM??? JUST CAUSE THAT???" and they said "Yeah, cause he loved u sm and blablabla". IDK what was the worst part, Mari having an emotional breakdown (almost falling into depression), me and the guys seeing this and not really knowing how to help, or the fact that I was going to act as a psychologist and give her the answers to almost everything... Definitely the first one is worse.

At night, we were walking and we standed near their cabin; she ask me "I should go?" and I told her "IDK, if I were u, I'd go cause maybe it will give me answers or at least closure, which would make me feel better; but ultimately, it's your decision" and she go there... First I thought "OK, good luck Mari" and then I was like "wait a minute, SHE JUST GO CAUSE I TOLD HER TO GO ⊙﹏⊙∥" and I was overthinkig something like "FUCKFUCKFUCK, WHAT IF SHE GETS UPSET OR REALLY SAD???". Anyways, later, she came back and told me that they were going to talk later.

Wednesday 26/08 - Third Day

We got up at 7.00am, we had the same breakfast ￣へ￣ and we traveled to the Santa Fe's capital. We arrived in a school and sumaring: we toured the school (it has everything from kindergarten to high school), did some activities with the 4th grade students there (which in Corrientes would be the 5th grade students) and had a milanesa sandwich for lunch. I had to throw away Mari's sandwich and Máximo's sandwich cause they didn't dare go and throw them away themselves.

Later, me and Mari changed our clothes (I just changed my trouser for my shorts and Mari for her jeans) and we went to the waterfront; we took some photos and then we went to the Ribera Shopping. Meanwhile Mari and Loreno walked around the whole mall talking about u know, I walked around the mall and went into some stores, but I didn't buy anything because I didn't have any money, and I only bought an ice cream. After an hour, I found her and she started crying cause all they were talking and she told me he was also confused about his feelings... Anyways, we entered in a bookstore a called Yeny (I love that store) and she bought two CDs (one by Sabrina and one by Dua Lipa). Then we went to the food court and we had a snak (specially thx to Mari for buying me a coke and fries). And at 6.30pm we returned to the camp.

Fun Fact: two years before, I went to that city with my mom and brother, so I was like "LOL I've been here before and they didn't changed anything"

At night, when we were with Andy and Máximo, Lorenzo told Mari to talk and they were behind some trees. Me and the boys were like "suspicious, they are going to kiss" and then Andy saw them and... THEY WERE KISSING!! They are so predictable. A few minutes later, Máximo saw they were coming so we acted like "nothing happened here"; they told us they got back together. It is something I would do? No; I'm happy for her? Yes, specially cause she is happy. And we had pizza and empanadas for dinner.

Thursday 27/08 - Fourth Day

We got up at 6.45am, we had breakfast (I tried the mate cocido and this time it was with medialunas) and we packed our things to return to Corrientes. Before we start travellig (or even got on the coach) we took a grupal photo. I did the same things when we came to Santa Fe and we arrived at 5.45pm

And that was my whole camp. BYE!!!

P/D: sorry if I was absent for a very long time, I've been moving to my grandma's house that is bigger and has three bedrooms (❁´◡`❁)

Mate Cocido: (in Guaraní: kojói) is a typical infusion of the gastronomy of Paraguay, Bolivia, Uruguay and Argentina. It is made by boiling or infusing yerba mate leaves in hot water.

Milanesa Sandwich: A traditional dish from the gastronomy of Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay that consists of a breaded and fried or baked meat cutlet (the milanesa) placed inside a bread roll, usually accompanied by lettuce, tomato and dressings

Empanadas: It's a thin dough made of wheat or corn flour filled with savory or sweet ingredients, then baked or fried. The most common ones (at least here) are the meat ones and the ham and cheese ones; the ham and cheese ones are the only ones I eat! (*￣(￣　*)

Medialunas: a classic sweet pastry shaped like a semicircle, typical of Argentine and other countries in the region. They are NOT the same as croissants: croissants are larger, have a neutral flavor, and are crispy with a very airy interior, while medialunas are smaller, sweeter, spongier, and brushed with syrup.
