Women's single SP Kinoshita CUP 2026 - Thoughts

HIIII these are my thoughts about the SP of some of the women's singles!!! Okay starting with ofc the Russian Rocket herself --->

Alexandra Ignatova(Trusova) = When I went to youtube to search up the women's sp all of it was FLOODED with Sasha, which is ofc not suprising at all since it's her first international comp after the ban and I've heard a lot of stuff about her free skate (personally I haven't seen it) but for her short program I found myself really looking foward to watching it bcs its choreo is done by Benoit Richaud. AND WOWOWOOWWWWWW, I find myself rlly fond of it! (☆ω☆) It's different from her usual style which I really like to see!! Graceful and gentle, and the soft color of her dress really tied everything too. Artistry wise Sasha has said before it's not her strongest suit, but I think with this short program it can definitely help her improve :)

Ami Nakai = FIRST PLACE ON THE SP AND BREAKING INTO THE 80 POINT BARRIER AHHHHH, Ami was the one I looked foward the most to watching and OMGOGGMGO (>v<) FIRST, her dress wowowowowwwww the burgundy dress match the vibe so much and the way it shined even from afar was so captivating, I rlly like the skirt the most out of everything! AND OFCCC her skating omg.... opened with a successful triple Axel and skated cleanly too!!!! I literally smiled so widely when she went up to the judges as apart of her program UGHGUHGUHG SO FUNNNNDJWDIWH HER SPINS WERE GREAT TOO, Ami always has the warmest and cutest smile ever her reaction to getting first place was priceless i love her smm (*´▽`*) Ami first place let's go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mao Shimada = I think everybody who knows that of Limbus Company and figure skating had their jaw open when it was announced that Mao was gonna skate to between two worlds lol (￣▽￣), I don't play Limbus Company but it was such a surreal moment seeing two niches clash together, and I'm gonna be so honest with you I 100% was sure Mao was gonna take the lead with the sp. And ohmydays seeing her skate was CRAZYYYYYY Mao is such a strong skater in every way possible, I always love her jumps bcs when you see them it's always perfectly executed and her jumps are so satisfying to me. Combined that with amazing skating skills and artistry gosh.... Honestly Mao is gonna become big and I can't wait. She placed two though in the sp bcs one of her spins was a level 3 I think..? I might have to check it again bcs rn there's not much content bcs it just came out (= ⩊ = )

ANYWAYS, this is it for now!!!! My words are def all over the place LOLL pls don't mind the grammar or any spelling mistakes made. I haven't ate yet bcs of all this waiting anyways I'll def come watch the others sooner or later. I don't follow men's single but I heard the results are quite shocking.... I might also have to look into that bcs I'm curious okey byebye for now! (＾▽＾)／
