Chapter 1

                        The first day

It was a snowy morning up in Minnesota, just Grace and Dylan enjoying their first date from Tinder. "So, you come here often, Grace?" "Huh? O-oh! Uhm yeah," Grace stuttered out. He was never that good with words, having extreme anxiety.

 "Hm," Dylan paused, his hand coming up to take a sip of his tea. "You're cute, Grace. I like your outfit." Dylan gestured to the sea-foam green cardigan. Grace's face heated up at the compliment. Get it together! Fuck dude.. Grace thought to himself. After a deep breath, he finally responded. "Thanks, I really like your hair. What's the style called again?" "Library spikes." "Yes! Very cool! How do you get them to stick up like that?" "Magic, duh." "Huh?" Grace sputtered out, extremely confused. Dylan let out a soft sound of laughter. "Excuse me, do you two have your orders?" a waitress asked. Dylan had let out a gasp. How long had she been standing there? "Shit! You scared me, miss," Dylan stuttered out, clearly startled. Grace chuckled at it. "I'll take the runny eggs with pancakes please!" Grace responded to the waitress, who wrote down his order. "What do you recommend, Grace? Since you said you go here often?" Dylan asked. "I've never been here before." "M-my personal favorite i-is the deviled eggs," Grace responded. "Then that's what I'll get!" "Great! Your orders will be ready soon," the waitress said before walking away. "Oh Dylan." "Hm?" "I remember on your Tinder account you said you liked to fix up old cars, no?" "Yeah, me and my dad used to, and it kind of just...stuck, you know?" Dylan huffed out, remembering his past. "Cute, say my car's radio isn't working, maybe we could work on it at my place for a second date!" Dylan nodded as the waitress brought the food in. Their chatter died down as the sound of eating and silverware scraping against plates filled the silence instead. A few moments when They'd finished up. "Don't worry, I'll play for ya!" Dylan spoke, already swiftly reaching into his pocket to grab his wallet
